of our basket plater line ,
The Lab Basket Plater
This latest innovation is the final planned phase of our patent
pending basket plater product line , a smaller unit designed for
use in the lab or electronics and jewelry industry. This unit comes
equipped with qty 1 - 2.5" dia x 4" basket , mesh only It uses a std dangler
contact and our small AC or DC gearmotor assembly. The overall frame is
very similar to a small portable plater , occupying approximately a 6"
x 6" footprint.
Like its big brothers , the Lab Basket Plater has a fully
removable basket , that can be used in a tabletop spin dryer. Spare baskets
are inexpensive and are readily available , you may already have some in
your facility that will fit. It also shares the common distinction of no
door , no clamps , no place for parts to get stuck. Many companies clean
and etch in baskets separately before loading into portable barrels for
plating , these companies will find extra benefit in speed and manpowertime.
This new unit provides an alternative to processing parts in
a portable plater , the technology has already been proven in the larger
version to plate faster than a plating barrel , while being gentler to
the work being processed. The open area of this unit , like its big brother,
has no comparison to plating barrels , the open top design provides massive
open area by comparison. Solution flow can be further increased by porting
existing pumps towards the open end units. Spray rinsing becomes a realistic
alternative ,again allowed by the open top design.
Individual and sample lots can be processed quickly and efficiently.
It won't replace every portableplater in your shop , we never said it would.
We can say it will provide a fast , alternative method for processing product
in your lab or on your existing line.
